Fergus Riley

Fergus Riley is a photographer based in London. Fascinated by nuances in history and subculture, his work often investigates people’s relationship to their environment. Previous projects have stemmed from personal history and made use of symbols to traverse themes of truth, memory and modernity.

Riley was recently awarded Jurors’ Pick at the LensCulture 2022 Black & White Photography Awards and featured as a Spotlight Artist in Pupil Sphere’s 2022 Graduate Showcase. His work has been nominated for the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award and Star Photobook Dummy Award, whilst also being featured in a wide variety of publications including the The Guardian, Fotofilmic JRNL 16 and Then There Was Us ‘AND’ 2022 Annual.
